Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions about our Coffee Bags
What is the degassing valve for?
Freshly roasted coffee releases CO₂ for days. The one-way degassing valve allows this gas to escape without outside oxygen entering, preventing the bag from swelling and keeping the aroma intact. It allows freshly roasted coffee to be packaged without waiting.
Why is it important for the bag to contain aluminum?
The aluminum layer (or metallized VMPET) acts as a barrier against the three enemies of coffee: light, oxygen, and moisture. A bag made only of paper or plastic does not protect as well. That is why our bags with a multi-layer structure keep coffee fresh for much longer.
What is the minimum order?
We sell in packs of 250 units. We apply volume discounts: the more units you order, the lower the price per bag. For large orders (1,000, 2,000 or more units), write to us and we will prepare a customized price for you.
Can I customize the bags with my brand?
Yes. We manufacture customized bags with your logo and design starting from 1,000 units. We advise you on format, materials, valve, and finishes. Write to us at info@coffebags.com with your brand, format, and quantity and we will prepare a proposal for you.
What formats and sizes do you offer?
We have bags of 100 g, 250 g, 500 g, and 1 kg, in flat bottom, doypack stand-up, box bottom, and eight side seal formats. Different colors: kraft, white kraft, black, white, red, blue, light blue, yellow, and holographic.
Are the bags suitable for whole bean and ground coffee?
Yes, all our bags are suitable for both whole bean and ground coffee. The resealable zip closure allows the bag to be opened and closed, preserving freshness between uses.
Do you ship? To which areas?
Yes, we ship throughout Europe with immediate stock. Orders are dispatched within 24-48 hours.
Do you have recyclable or more sustainable bags?
Yes. We have recyclable models, such as the white 250g bag without heat seal (with double side zip closure) and the version with a grey stripe. They are ideal for brands that want to reduce their footprint without losing professional presentation.
Do I need a heat sealer to use them?
It depends on the model. Most are closed with their resealable zip closure, but for a permanent professional seal, a sealer is recommended. The recyclable double side zip model does not require any machine: it is closed by hand from day one.
