Checklist: everything you need to have ready before your first custom order

Placing your first order for custom coffee bags is a significant moment for any roaster. To ensure a smooth and seamless process, here's everything you should have ready before you begin.
✓ Your design or design brief
If you already have a design, you'll need the file in vector format (AI or PDF with outlines) in CMYK mode. If you don't have a design yet, prepare a brief with your logo, brand colors, and the text you want to include. We provide a template with exact measurements.
✓ Bag format and size
Decide which format you need: stand-up (doypack), flat bottom, or both. And what size or sizes: 100g, 250g, 500g, 1kg.
✓ The quantity
The minimum order is 1,000 units per SKU. The larger the quantity, the better the price per bag.
✓ Material and finish
Decide if you want kraft, white, black, or another base color. The type of finish: matte, gloss, or soft touch. And if you need additional elements such as a transparent window or special die-cut.
✓ Valve and closure
Confirm if you want a degassing valve (recommended for freshly roasted coffee) and if you want a re-sealable zip closure (recommended for direct-to-consumer sales).
✓ Mandatory legal information
Before finalizing the design, ensure it includes all mandatory information: product name, net weight, best-before date, nutritional information, country of origin, and the name and address of the responsible party.
✓ Approved budget
Request a quote with all specifications before confirming. Make sure it includes transportation and that you understand the payment terms.
✓ Planned timeline
Production time is 20 days from design confirmation. To this, you must add shipping time: by sea (more economical) or by air (faster). Plan with a margin, especially if you have a launch or a trade show with a fixed date.
✓ Print proof approval
Before printing the entire run, you will review a digital or physical proof. This is your last opportunity to detect errors in the design, colors, or text.
